To commemorate the centenary of the iconic magazine The New Yorker, on May 12th 2025 the Consulate General of Italy in New York  inaugurated an exhibition of the most emblematic “Italian” covers published over the past hundred years. The editor of The New Yorker, David Remnick, was also present at the event.

The exhibition, entitled “Italy and The New Yorker Through a Century – An Italian Celebration of the Centenary,” offers a fascinating visual journey and a chronological exploration of Italy through the eyes of The New Yorker’s exceptional artists. At the same time, it celebrates the countless cultural, intellectual, and creative exchanges between Italy and a magazine that has profoundly shaped journalism, literature, and culture in the United States and worldwide, and which still today is synonymous with excellence, independence, creativity, and success.
